Fall for Smiles

With much of the US experiencing the first hints of cool autumn weather it is a good time to remember Oral Health America’s Fall for Smiles campaign to raise awareness about the importance of oral health.  Earlier this month, Oral Health America launched the 2nd annual Fall for Smiles initiative to help remind the public about the importance of regular dentist visits, healthy eating, and avoidance & cessation of tobacco product use.  As this time of year marks the beginning of a new school year for many children, adolescents, and families, it is a great time to talk about oral health and the importance of maintaining healthy oral care habits.  Oral Health America has provided a number of resources to help families, dental care providers, and dental industry folk to participate.  From photo contests and coloring sheets for the dental office to web and email buttons for product and service providers there are many ways to get involved.  It’s an excellent cause to help ensure we all include oral health in our Fall routines.  So, if you are part of the oral health care community, step up and fall for smiles.  Your efforts can help those around you recognize the importance of a lifetime of healthy smiles.
