Planning it.

As I wrote in a previous post, I was invited to present at Dentsply Sirona’s inLab Marketing Summit. Held on October 27 and 28, 2016 in Charlotte, the theme of the meeting is “Dream It! Plan It! Do It!” According to Dentsply Sirona, “All sessions included in the inLab Marketing Summit are tailored exclusively for laboratory owners who want to propel their business to the next level of success.”

I’ll be presenting a breakout session on content and social marketing, Developing a Content and Social Marketing Strategy for Your Lab. Currently, I’m preparing that presentation. And I’ve decided to break out of my comfort zone in how I will present mout-of-the-comfort-zone-magic-happensy content. I could have whipped together some slides in my usual style very quickly. Let’s face it, those of us who present can often fall into this habit. Yes, I’ll still have some slides. But for this presentation, I want to break out of a mold I’ve created for myself and develop the next iteration of my presenter persona. My old presentation style wasn’t too shabby, mind you. It has just gotten a little too comfortable. And comfort can often yield stagnation. We don’t want stagnation here, now do we?

So, while I’m planning this talk, I must admit I’m both excited and apprehensive. How will my plan to improve my presentation persona turn out? I can’t wait to find out! I hope some of you are at the event and can provide me with some feedback. And if not, perhaps we’ll meet somewhere else along the way.

As always, thank you for reading.
